Longtime Members of ShemaleYum will tell you that the site is a consistent reminder that the Adult Industry does not have to be a seedy, back-alley affair… even for a niche as ‘closeted’ and ‘taboo’ as Shemales. In the first quarter of 2009, ShemaleYum underwent a massive undertaking in a full-scale site redesign. The Internet has changed quite a bit in the 10+ years that the site has existed and the redesign launches ShemaleYum into the 21st Century taking into account new developments in website design elements such as higher screen resolutions, layered elements, and improved search features. While taken individually, each change may seem small and insignificant, all together they make for a much improved and user-friendly site interface (i.e. – Get your Shemale porn faster and easier than ever before!).

ShemaleYum has kept its signature blue background but softened it up with portraits and pictures of many of the beautiful Shemales waiting for you as a Member. Navigation through ShemaleYum is implemented by tabbed links which should be familiar to anyone who uses any of the major browsers to surf the Internet. Upon entering the Member’s Area of ShemaleYum you’re greeted (by username) with the current NEWS of what’s fresh and hot for the current month. This feature may seem like a ‘no-brainer’ but you’d be surprised at how many sites I review that don’t have an ‘Updates’ section that Members can just click on to see what is newest to the site. Each update is accompanied by a thumbnail portrait of all the Shemale models featured in the update along with a short description of any site related announcements or news. See a model you want to get to know a little more ‘intimately’ and all you have to do is click on the thumbnail and you’ll be brought to a whole page devoted to the model which contains links to all content featuring her throughout the site.

I’d like to take a little second and delve into one of the new features in ShemaleYum which makes the site an extremely fun and enjoyable experience to browse, the SEARCH FEATURE. I punched in ‘white,’ ‘average’ (body type), ‘blonde’ (hair), and ‘tattoo’ (other) into the Advanced Search features to try and locate another of my favorite ShemaleYum models, Jennica Zybach, and sure enough, the Search Feature narrowed it down to 98 thumbnailed pictures which may seem like a lot, but taking into account that there are over 1,000 models featured in ShemaleYum, it was extremely easy to pick her picture out of the thumbnails and get my Jennica fix for the day (seriously folks… check this girl out!). This new Search Feature is a powerful way to find exactly what you’re looking for as a Member of ShemaleYum and I applaud the site operators for putting the time and energy into creating something that really benefits the Members tremendously!

PHOTO CONTENT
ShemaleYum has got to have one of, if not the largest, collection of Shemale, Transsexual, and Transvestite photos assembled in one place anywhere on the Internet. Photos are organized very well in the new ShemaleYum into categories such as, ‘Model of the Month,’ ‘Hardcore,’ ‘Yum Models,’and ‘Coming Soon.’ Of course, using the Search Feature you can always browse by individual model name. With 10+ years of photos archived on ShemaleYum, Members will be able to follow some of their favorite Shemales from their first ever photoshoot to present. If you’re a true Fan of a particular model, watching her develop and become more comfortable for the camera is a real treat.

Quality of the photos, in keeping with advances in related technology improves with later ShemaleYum photoshoots; however, all photos are well shot, framed, and presented. As one of the largest Shemale porn producers in the world, Grooby Productions has the financial muscle to attract some of the best photographers in the business which is reflected in the quality of their photo galleries. All galleries can be downloaded as one ZIP file or viewed individually via thumbnails. A new feature of ShemaleYum allows Members to comment on and rate individual photosets on a scale of 1-5 which really allows the operators of the site to cater to Member’s desires.

VIDEO CONTENT
Video Content is typically what most subscribers to a paysite are after and thus, is probably one of the most important subjects for a reviewer such as myself to write about. ShemaleYum videos are an excellent mixture of solo and hardcore scenes. Videos are organized in much the same way as photo galleries are with the Search Feature being just as useful to narrow your search to an individual Shemale model.

With a large site like ShemaleYum, you really expect to have two things in video content, high quality and fast download speed. While one of these (download speed) is somewhat dependent on Members (i.e. – how many are downloading the same video at one moment in time), the other is not. Either way, I’m happy to report that ShemaleYum passed both of my tests with flying colors. Videos are offered to Members in WMV format in two quality choices, a low quality 320×240 option and a high quality 640×480 option. If you don’t mind the larger file size, my vote is to download the high quality videos for viewing and use the low quality videos for videos that maybe you’re not too sure about liking. With an average size of 125MB to 150MB, the high quality videos downloaded surprisingly quickly, taking an average of 3-4 minutes on my home cable connection. I was able to download at this speed during three different parts of the day (early morning, afternoon, and late evening) and consistently for 8 videos (4 low quality and 4 high quality). Sound quality on the videos was also excellent with plenty of moans, groans, and orgasm noises for those of you who enjoy hearing the pleasure taking place in front of you. CONCLUSION AND OVERVIEW
ShemaleYum is, quite simply put, the biggest and best Shemale specific site out there with over 10 years (and growing) of content and experience to back up its claims. The site is huge and you would be hard pressed to find another site which offers its Members the winning combination of service, content, and quality which makes ShemaleYum a perfect 10 in my book. The new site’s designs and features add a significant level of maturity to the site and provide for an improved, intuitive, and interactive Member experience.

Personally, I like ShemaleYum because I know that as an arm of Grooby Productions, the site takes risks on young, inexperienced models and gives them the chance to ‘make it’ in the extremely competitive world of Internet Shemale porn. I would feel good about knowing my dollars are helping provide a legitimate outlet to many aspiring Transsexuals who are going through all the decisions in life which I can’t even begin to imagine. I know this sounds pretty ‘PSA-like,’ but ShemaleYum cares and its loyal Member base continually recognizes this. Perhaps, in the end, it is this fact which makes ShemaleYum still the biggest and best Transsexual site after 10 years of operation.
