On the face of things, Andrea Nobili Productions, despite its nondescript name, looks to be one VERY hot Shemale site. Now, I suppose we could pepper our review with all sorts of puns and witticisms about the James Bond character and his collection of girls in the header of this site, but we’ll try to resist.

Andrea Nobili Productions is a European based porn site, which means you’ll get a whole different look and feel to the pictures and videos on the site. Most of the models on the site are Italian so I’m guessing that the site is based out of Italy. I’ve always been a big fan of European porn in the mainstream world so I think taking that style to the Shemale porn world is an interesting concept, which works pretty well IMO. What I will be doing is taking an honest and detailed look into Andrea Nobili Productions and detailing what I find there so you can make an educated decision about become a Member of this Shemale site. SITE DESIGN AND NAVIGATION
Andrea Nobili Productions employs a very simple and yet, very effective theory in site design, especially when it comes to adult sites… ‘Sex Sells’. It’s pretty clear upon arriving at the site that you’re in for a wild ride since you’re greeted by a huge tour of video trailers and thumbnail photos. The site is set against a deep red background and has the standard navigation bar to use for getting around. I have to say, if you’ve been a Member of another Shemale site before, you’ll find the navigation a tad confusing since most all the links either lead to the page you’re already on or to the ‘Join Page,’ so besides the front page, the only real other public page is the ‘Models’ one which gives you a couple more thumbnail pictures of the Shemales featured on the site. It’s not the best setup but certainly not the worst either and once you clicked around a bit, you can easily figure out where you want to end up.

Other than that, the site design is very linear and if anything, a bit on the simplistic side. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing… I actually prefer simple site designs, but combined with the somewhat confusing navigation, I did find myself getting a bit frustrated at times.

MEMBERS
Unfortunately, the navigation inside Andrea Nobili Productions doesn’t get much better. Instead of following the tried and true method of an easy navigation bar with buttons or text saying things like, ‘Videos,’ ‘Pictures,’ etc. etc. the site leads you to two areas in the Members area, ‘Your Subscription’ and ‘Visit Your Video Library.’ I actually do like being able to check out the status of your membership to the site at a glance, but I can’t imagine the choice to present it every time you login to the site is that good for business.

What I really dislike about the Member’s Area is that the site doesn’t change the picture, header, or navigation bar at the top of the page and those links will lead you outside of the Member’s Area and back to the public pages… which again, adds to confusion since the pages look exactly the same. I could harp on the navigational aspects of Andrea Nobili Productions more but I think by now, you’ve gotten the point that it’s a bit confusing, especially if you’re used to the standard layout of navigation bars and clearly defined sections for videos, pictures, and other content that most Shemale sites employ.

PHOTO CONTENT
If you’re one of those people that prefers to flip through hundreds of pictures rather than watch videos, you’re going to be disappointed by Andrea Nobili Productions. I find this EXTREMELY puzzling since it’s pretty obvious that the site employs a photographer… but, there is a distinct lack of photos available to browse for each of the videos. There are about 20-30 pictures per video, which in this day and age, is downright tiny… especially for a site like this. I am guessing that the owner(s) of Andrea Nobili Productions are banking on their videos to retain Memberships (more on that later), but in my opinion, they should note that somewhere in the public area as opposed to it being a big surprise in the Member’s Area.

One other thing about the photos is that you are forced to download them as a ZIP file… the site does not allow you to view them directly in the browser window. I’m not too sure of the reasoning behind this other than maybe sparing bandwidth since online galleries are fairly easy to set up and maintain. I will say this, I hope they start putting up more pictures in the future because they’ve got a great photographer and the pictures that are there ARE very nice eye-candy!

VIDEO CONTENT
OK… I’m going to start off this section by stating here and now… THE ACTION ON ANDREA NOBILI PRODUCTIONS IS HOT! I am a big Fan of the ‘European’ style of porn, which tends to be lots of lingerie, hot girls, and raw, uninhibited sex. Andrea Nobili Productions has managed to bring the Rocco Siffredi style of shooting to the world of Shemale porn, and the outcome is pretty amazing. Andrea Nobili Productions seems to have a little bit of a problem with the execution rather than the content. The content is so hot that it is truly a shame that the execution is so poor. I am hoping that this will change over time, and we’ll update our review if it does. At the time of this writing however, videos are available in only one format, MP4. Now, MP4 is becoming more and more the norm… but there is still a pretty large body of people out there who don’t have or wouldn’t know how to get the codec to play MP4 videos on their computer. This has got to be a frustrating thing for some Members. The site does try to help with a ‘Help Section’ which provides a link to a Media Player… but IMO, a Member shouldn’t have to go through that process to view videos they’ve paid to watch. Obviously, you can’t make everyone happy but you can at least choose a format that is more widely accepted such as a standard WMV file.

Additionally, the videos are available in only two sizes (resolutions), a Hi-Res (640×480) and an iPod compatible version. Now, the term ‘Hi-Resolution’ may have been correct for this size video a while ago but these days, 640×480 is more of a ’standard’ resolution. However, that’s just semantics, and both videos played well and looked fantastic. No streaming option is provided and there are about 50 videos (hardcore and solo) available on the site at the time of this writing.

Download speeds for me were all over the map. Over the course of 5 days at different times of the day, I got speeds from 38kbps to 1.5mbps… so pretty much EXTREMELY slow to pretty damn fast. Now, when you’re talking about being forced to download a 650MB movie since no smaller, full-sized option is provided, you can be in for a long wait at 38kbps! So, if you don’t have a fast and consistent Internet connection, be prepared to set up your downloads while you sleep for that early morning wood relief!

CONCLUSION AND SITE OVERVIEW
If you skipped all the above stuff just to read this part, read it carefully. I’m going to start by saying again… Andrea Nobili Productions has some of the best hardcore scenes that I’ve seen on any site, and most definitely some very hot Shemale Pornstars BUT, it largely falls flat on the execution and navigation aspects of the site. So, I find myself a bit puzzled as to whether to wholeheartedly endorse this site, which I really, really like.

I guess the question you need to answer is, ‘Can you bear with some poor navigation and possible headaches and long wait times to download some of the hottest Shemale porn around?’ If you can answer ‘Yes,’ then Andrea Nobili Productions is certainly worth a look for you. The first thing you’ll notice when visiting the site is the ‘edgy’ look to the site with plenty of hard angles in the design elements and pictures of stone, chains, and handcuffs adding a nice feel to the theme of the site. Little things like this may not seem like such a big deal but as you add them up, they each add just a little bit to the overall ‘immersion’ that a browser feels when visiting the site.

However, after browsing the Member’s Area for just a few minutes I was able to get a good sense for the navigation which is both efficient and clever. I spent a good 10 minutes clicking on various links throughout the site and response was quick and I did not come across any broken or non-working links. Using Firefox 3.0, I discovered a small design flaw with a ‘Next’ button overlapping another element but I’m sure by the time this is published, the flaw will be fixed.

PHOTO CONTENT
Pictures in Extreme Ladyboys are high quality and well shot. Most photos are high resolution unless you delve way back into the 2006-2007 galleries where technology wasn’t really up to high resolution yet. The photographer(s) for Extreme Ladyboys knows his way around a camera and pictures were well lit, nicely framed, and downright HOT!

You can choose to view each photograph individually by following a thumbnail link, view the entire set as a slideshow (SWF), or download a ZIP file of the entire set. Each method has their pros and cons so it’s really up to the individual user to choose what best suits their situation. For some reason, my computer always hates SWF things and I was unable to get the slideshow to operate properly in either FF 3.0 or IE7. However, ZIP files downloaded quickly and the individual thumbnails were clear and easy to navigate.

VIDEO CONTENT
Extreme Ladyboys offers probably the largest variety of methods to watch a single movie that I’ve come across in some time. For one single movie you can either watch a Low Quality Video, download a High Quality Video, or watch selected scenes. You can also choose to watch a trailer of the movie which is a feature I enjoyed as even the Low Quality Videos average out at around 275MB – 300MB which can amount to quite a wait time if you have a slower connection to the Internet. And, although I appreciate what the site is trying to accomplish in offering so many ways to watch a movie (Members love choice!), it does tend to be a bit confusing at first.

As far as actual content goes, Extreme Ladyboys does deliver on the site’s namesake. I’m not sure why but most Ladyboy scenes for paysites tend to be pretty mellow when compared to say, Brazilian Shemale scenes which are typically pretty vocal and animated. Maybe its a cultural thing.
