One of the great things about having a ‘brand name’ and the backup of a well known porn giant like Evil Angel, is that you can attract a lot of Star power to your projects. The public design is clean and fairly simple with plenty of great video clips from the site for browsers to enjoy, and the color scheme is a artful spin-off of the ‘American Idol’ colors.

One of the things that I think is worth noting, regardless of your personal opinions, is that She-Male Idol employs some fairly heavy filtering with the pictures in the public pages. While I see the value of presenting ‘flawless’ girls as a marketing tool, I think it’s pretty funny to see a drop-dead, perfect girl in a picture and then a second later when you click on the movie, you see her as she actually is. Don’t get me wrong, the girls of She-Male Idol ARE some of the most beautiful Shemale Pornstars around… which really just leads to the question of why filter them so much and make it so noticeable.

MEMBER’S AREA
Personally, I find the difference between the public pages of She-Male Idol and the Member’s Area to be fairly significant, and overall, a bit confusing. I want first of all to say that I’m not discussing CONTENT in this area, just the presentation of it all. For my taste, the site is a bit too busy with too many links leading to the same content. While this gives the appearance of the site having loads and loads of content (which it does), it may add to some confusion for Members who wish to view a particular movie in a specific category, say ‘Anal’, only to find that they’ve already seen the movie in the ‘Shemale / Tranny’ category. I think with a site of this caliber it would be far better to employ a ‘Search’ feature and let Members decide for themselves what they want to view. This would clean up the Member’s Area, and I think, allow Members to feel like they have some input into the site itself.

It will clearly help you if you are fairly well versed in the Evil Angel empire of porn when you navigate throughout the She-Male Idol site, as well as all of the Evil Angel sites you get access to as ‘Bonus Content’ (see Video Content section). She-Male Idol is, at its core, a collection of scenes and movies taken from different Joey Silvera movies, so if you’re looking for a particular scene in a particular movie, it will help if you know the title and / or performers since that is how you can search for it using pre-determined drop-down menus. Again, a little bit confusing, especially if you’re new to Joey Silvera’s movies, but at least She-Male Idol provides box cover thumbnails to help you browse for the content you’d like to view.

PHOTO CONTENT
Photo Content for She-Male Idol is extensive… once you figure out how to find it. If you just go to the ‘Pictures’ section of the site (at the time of this writing), there are only 10 galleries containing about 50 pictures each. If you enjoy browsing galleries while you wait for a movie to download or load, you’ll quickly burn through these galleries, although I’m sure in the future, more will be added eventually. Galleries are not available as ZIP files and are viewed using a pop-up, Flash based, slideshow-type viewer. The pictures are clear, well-lit, and obviously taken professionally. You can view them in two sizes by enlarging the default size of the viewer.

Now, why She-Male Idol has pictures buried in another part of the site is kind of a mystery to me. But, if you want to view more pictures, you can also see 40 pictures from each scene by clicking on the scene you want. This will open the scene description and there you will find a small link for ‘Images’. I suppose this is done so you can get an idea of where the scene goes without having to view or download the entire file, but I guess I am just too used to all the pictures for a site being in one section.

VIDEO CONTENT
Because of the way photo content is set up and split out, I’d place She-Male Idol in the category of sites that is aimed primarily at persons who are looking for videos. And, if you’re one of those people, you’re in for quite the treat when it comes to She-Male Idol. I’ve already spoken about Joey Silvera’s approaching legendary status as a Director of Shemale porn so I won’t go over all that again. Suffice to say, video content is where She-Male Idol really shines, and you’ll absolutely love watching the videos, scenes, and movies presented there.

Some videos from more recent Joey Silvera movies are available in HD formats, and believe me, they are worth watching. All scenes are available to download (WMV) or stream (FLV) in high quality or low quality files. Most scenes are around 15-25 minutes in length, which is what you’d expect from a scene taken from a porn DVD. Downloading movies was fairly snappy at around 800/kbs over the course of a couple days at different times in the day.

I would probably also assume this automatically rebills when the trial has expired at the normal 30 day rate of $29.95 since that is the way trials periods normally operate. You can also join for 90 days at $68.95, which I think is a great deal considering the massive amount of content you have access too. All non-trial options come with unlimited downloads and no DRM.

CONCLUSION AND SITE OVERVIEW
Joey Silvera’s She-Male Idol has attracted some really big names within the industry. Besides a wealth of Brazilian Shemale Pornstars, girls like Bailey Jay, Bee Armitage, and Jessica Fox have all shot content for Joey Silvera. Although the site has some design elements that I dislike, there is absolutely NO denying that She-Male Idol has some of the hottest content around. For the price of a couple hard-copy DVD’s you can download those scenes as well as a whole bunch more Evil Angel movies, so this really is a great deal.

My bottom line… Joey Silvera’s She-Male Idol will really appeal to browsers who are interested in movies. Photo content is minimal in comparison to other Shemale sites but the Video Content in addition to the quality content of Evil Angel is well worth the price.

I’ve been waiting to review Frank’s Tgirl World for a while now and now that the site has had a major overhaul, I thought it would be the perfect time to take a second look. Actually, it’s more like the millionth look in my case since I’ve been a fan of the site for a while now. Frank’s Tgirl World is one of my favorite sites for a variety of different reasons but we’ll discuss that a little later further on in the review. For now, it’s worth mentioning that Frank’s Tgirl World is owned and operated by Grooby Productions, a company well known in the Shemale Porn Industry for creating and maintaining high quality Shemale sites. The face of Frank’s Tgirl World is famed Grooby photographer Frank, who has one of the best jobs in the world… seriously. So, let’s dive into Frank’s world for a minute or two and take a closer look at his site.

SITE DESIGN AND NAVIGATION
The new Frank’s Tgirl World, or Frank’s Tgirl World v2.0 as its been called, is a HUGE step up from the previous version of the site. Once past the obligatory Adult Warning page, you’re taken to the Introduction page which is short and sweet. A brief introduction from Frank, some thumbnails from the latest Transsexual Models featured on the site, and the sites current content statistics give you a nice feeling for Frank’s Tgirl World before you jump into the Tour. The color scheme is a subdued green which works really well with the tans, whites, and golds used as type. Navigation through the public areas is made fun with some great buttons depicting the suitcases that Frank takes with him on his world tours.

Speaking of tours, when you take the tour of Frank’s Tgirl World, you’ll be treated to some great Flash videos and pictures from some of the past few recent updates, and you’ll get a very good idea of the quality photography Frank is capable of and displays on the site. The site was very responsive and I did not encounter any broken links or faulty files. Preview movies downloaded quickly and were of sufficient quality to make me want to see more. I like the Member testimonials across the tops of the tour pages… here’s one that reads:

Upon entering the Member Area of Frank’s Tgirl World, you’re greeted with the ‘Recent News’ from the site which includes portraits of the most recently featured models as well as a brief blurb written by Frank detailing the minutiae of being one of the best Transsexual photographers in the world. Oftentimes these blurbs are more comical than serious which is sort of Frank’s character. As a side note, I would definitely recommend reading Frank’s Official Travel Blog for more insight into his very busy world.

The Member’s area of Frank’s Tgirl World is perhaps the biggest beneficiary of the site overhaul. Where navigating around the old Frank’s was primarily done through individual galleries, which was a little tedious, now you can use a very powerful ‘Search’ feature to find the model you’re specifically looking for. Or, you can browse through the 700+ models on the site by flipping through thumb-nailed pictures of them until you find one you want to see more of. In fact, there are several different ways to get to the same content on the site so Members just need to pick the one they’re the most comfortable with and then thousands of Frank’s pictures and videos are right there at their fingertips.

Another cool feature of the site is the ‘My Portfolio’ section, where Members can add photo sets, videos, or models that they really like so they don’t have to go about trying to find them again when they log in next time. This feature may not seem like a big deal but when you’ve been a Member for 7 years like Tiffany, you’ll definitely collect some favorites that you’ll want to come back to time and time again.

PHOTO CONTENT
Photography is really what Frank’s Tgirl World excels at presenting. Plenty of sites have really beautiful Transsexual models but only a handful have the quality photographer that Frank is. Frank isn’t just some amateur or hobbyist, he’s an honest to goodness professionally trained photographer and he’s got the equipment to back it up. The bottom line here though is that Frank’s photography speaks for itself.

Frank has a great eye for lighting and composition and really knows how to make his models look their best. One thing you’ll immediately notice when you start browsing through the models on his site is that there aren’t too many of his models wearing bright, gaudy makeup or flashy outfits. I think Frank tends to rely on enhancing the natural beauty of his Transsexual models instead of placing a heavy emphasis on make-up and post-production airbrushing. Many of his photo sets are shot using natural lighting and these sets make for some truly great images.

As for the photos themselves, they’re arranged by model and all of a particular model’s content is readily available from a short Model Biography Page. You can choose to view the galleries as individual pictures or to download the entire gallery as a ZIP file for browsing on your home computer. Quality of the photo sets are very high and Frank’s Tgirl World has some of my favorite all time pictures of many of my favorite Shemale Pornstars.

VIDEO CONTENT
Frank’s Tgirl World is largely made up of ‘solo’ content, meaning that a majority of the pictures and videos are of just the model either masturbating or playing with toys. That’s not to say that Frank doesn’t feature some hardcore content every once in a while but it’s more then exception than the rule. That stated, video content on Frank’s Tgirl World is pretty damn hot and unless you’re joining a site specifically for the hardcore content, you won’t be disappointed. Frank’s experience as a photographer definitely translates well into videography as well. The same attention to lighting and clarity that he shows in his photographs is readily apparent in his videos. Videos can also be accessed through the Model’s Biography Page.

Frank’s Tgirl World has chosen to present files as WMV files for maximum playability. You can either choose to stream the video from your browser or else download it directly to your computer for viewing. Recent file sizes are very large, which is probably due to the advent of major sites like Frank’s shooting most of their video content in High Definition these days. However, despite the large file sizes, download speeds remained fairly quick. I was able to download at approximately 300-350 KB/sec. across the day for a variety of files. So, I would recommend finding a video to download and then ducking out for a quick cup of coffee or something while it downloads. Once it’s done, believe me, the video quality is definitely worth the wait!

As I stated in the beginning of this Review, I’ve been a fan of Frank’s work for a long time now. The site is by far one of the best sites as far as variety and quality of photos goes. Frank’s Tgirl World is one of the few sites I turn to when I am looking for information on a particular model since almost every Transsexual model or Shemale Pornstar worth mentioning shoots for the site at one time or another. While not being what I would consider to be a ‘hardcore’ site, Frank’s offers plenty of other great content that Members are sure to enjoy for months, or even years evidently! The awesome thing about Frank’s, and my bottom line, is that you can count on Frank’s Tgirl World for QUALITY Shemale porn.

The term is used more as a slang term but [I don't think] is considered derogatory in the sense that a Western mind would consider it to be. Newhalf is a Japanese word and should not be used to describe Asian Shemales from other countries and ethic backgrounds, which typically have adopted the term ‘Ladyboy.’

While truly a civilized, technologically advanced, and industrial country in every sense of the words, Japan has remained a somewhat mysterious and enigmatic society to the Western World. As the newest site in the Grooby Production portfolio, it would make sense that ShemaleJapan would have a more updated look and feel than the other Grooby sites (although I suspect they are all undergoing plans to be reworked). As one would expect, the site is set against a gorgeous, deep red background with hints of ‘The Land of the Rising Sun’ artwork mixed in at places. The color palette also includes oranges, greens, tans, and of course whites, which seem like an odd mixture when just read off as a list but flow together suprisingly well in the site. Having been designed to be viewed on the larger LCD monitors of today, ShemaleJapan will look best when viewed at resolutions higher than 1280×800. Anything less than that and the pictures and type will begin to look pixelated and detract from what should be an enjoyable viewing experience. Kudos to the designers of ShemaleJapan for being ‘fashion forward’ in their design elements.

ShemaleJapan is set up much like an intricate Blog with vertical columns containing the main content. This format should be a snap for frequent blog surfers to adapt to while users of more traditionally designed sites may find things a little confusing at first. It helps that all links are highlighted and most have color changing ‘hover’ codes written into them. The Tour Area of ShemaleJapan is built right into the design elements and flows from top to bottom with a fluidlike efficiency. I really like this new way of designing websites and it’s becoming more and more popular for a variety of adult paysites because it’s easy to use and navigate.

MEMBER’S AREA
Upon entering the Member’s Area of ShemaleJapan you’re greeted with the Latest News page which gives you some quick glaces at what is recently new to the site, and let me tell you, there is plenty happening at ShemaleJapan! If you’d like a little more ‘in depth’ feel for what is new on the site you can click the handy ‘Updates’ button at the top of the page which will bring up all the recent photo and video updates for the last couple of months. The Member’s Area is easy to navigate, well designed, and fully functional

PHOTO CONTENT
Photo Galleries in ShemaleJapan are arranged alphabetically by Model Name. This is a handy feature if you remember the name of the model you’re searching for but as it is fairly easy to mix up one Japanese name for another, you’ll probably just end up browsing through the thumbnails and clicking one a Newhalf who interests you. ShemaleJapan has some truly stunning models in its portfolio and I enjoyed reading the short biography pages of the models I looked further into. Galleries are also broken down into Solo, Hardcore, and a Uniform (cosplay) Section, which I think is a nice touch as the young Japanese crowd is fairly well known for their crazy and oftentimes sexy costumes and outfits

Photo quality is very good. It appears that the vast majority of the galleries are shot by a photographer known only as Hiro who definitely knows his way around a camera. Photos are well lit, clear, and well framed. You can either choose to view each photo individually via thumbnails or else download the entire gallery as a ZIP file to your computer. It’s got to be a tough life being this Hiro fellow… living in the hustle and bustle of Japan with your sole purpose being to search out and photograph gorgeous Newhalf beauties for the rest of the world to enjoy! How do I get that job?

VIDEO CONTENT
ShemaleJapan has amassed quite a collection of videos in the relatively short time it has existed on the Internet. What I think Members of the site will really enjoy is that each of the models is so different in appearance, style, and demeanor. It makes for some really great variety. I personally liked the video where the girls are dressed in different costumes… satisfies that pervy itch of mine

Videos can be downloaded as a 320×240 lower quality file or a 640×480 High Definition file. Both are WMV files. The high quality WMV files are beautiful when viewed on a higher resolution monitor so crank that video card up and if you have a fast connection, go for those! I was able to download videos consistently at an average of 1.5MB/sec which is pretty quick! Videos are a mixture of solo, hardcore, and gonzo style shoots although you’ll have to take a guess as to which is which since there is only a single thumbnail to guide you.
